Destination College Advising Corps increases college access for low-income, first-generation and underrepresented high school students by placing highly-trained, recent college graduates in schools as full-time College Adviser Fellows.

What does it mean to be an Adviser? What does a workday look like? What does a workday look like? What are some of the challenges and benefits of this position? These are some of the questions we will address in this DCAC/EAOP staff-led 60-minute session with the participation of current Adviser Fellows. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions. DCAC & EAOP had the distinct honor of participating in the College Advising Corps Summit 2023, hosted by the College Advising Corps (CAC). This significant gathering marked our inaugural return to in-person convening since 2019, signifying a momentous step forward in our collective pursuit of excellence.
During this event, we had the privilege of actively engaging with and establishing meaningful connections among our esteemed sister chapters. The overarching theme of "Reimagining Equity in [College] Access" permeated our discussions, underscoring the gravity of our commitment to fostering equity and access in the realm of higher education.
The insights garnered from the Summit serve as a reservoir of knowledge that will undoubtedly shape our strategic initiatives moving forward. Armed with this wealth of information, we eagerly anticipate leveraging our newfound understanding to craft and implement innovative programming efforts designed to benefit our students and families.
