Destination College Advising Corps increases college access for low-income, first generation and underrepresented high school students by placing highly-trained, recent college graduates in schools as full-time College Adviser Fellows.
In 2007 UC Berkeley DCAC was launched as one of the original (National) College Advising Corps chapters funded by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. DCAC began with two Advisers in two high schools in Solano County. Today, DCAC provides college access and preparation services to over 40,000 high school students in districts throughout California.
DCAC is seeking recent college graduates with a passion for educational equity, social justice, and a genuine interest in increasing educational opportunities for underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income high school students.
