Jasmine Ramirez-Barba

College Adviser Fellow, Dixon High School

Jasmine was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA from parents who immigrated from Jalisco, Mexico. She is a first-generation graduate student from UC Davis with a degree in Psychology and Chincanx Studies with a minor in Education. During her undergrad, she was a part of a national political organization called MEChA, where she helped organize and advocate for underrepresented minorities. Her passion for education stemmed from her experience working as an Academic Lead Tutor for BRIDGE, a program that addresses educational disparities, and YIIN, a non-profit organization that advocates for immigrants in Yolo County. Jasmine enjoys hiking, exercising, watching basketball, and eating.
