Jacqueline Valdivias Trujillo

Jacqueline Valdivias was born in Michoacán, Mexico and came to the United States when she was twelve years old. She attended Gunderson High School where she was a DCAC cohort student. She earned her Bachelor’s of Art in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from San Jose State University in the spring of 2019. Throughout college she was part of the Chicano Organization, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and Reading Partners. These organizations focused on volunteering in events such as MESA Day and the Advancing Latinx Achievement and Success Conference which empower students of color to pursue a higher education. These experiences have helped Jacqueline give back to her community. Jacqueline is very passionate about being a College Adviser Fellow and being able to give back to first generation college going students.
