Destination College Advising Corps works collaboratively with partner schools and programs to be a resource for underserved students and help them reach their post-secondary goals.
In 2007 UC Berkeley DCAC was launched as one of the original (National) College Advising Corps chapters funded by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. DCAC began with two Advisers in two high schools in Solano County. Today, DCAC provides college access and preparation services to over 40,000 high school students in districts throughout California.
“If it wasn't for my experience with DCAC, I wouldn't have landed my graduate assistantship with Barnard College Admissions, and I would not be in my current role as an Assistant Director with UC Berkeley Office of Admissions.”
